I highly recommend working with Tera and Assisted Living Locators. Tera was literally a godsend for our family during a stressful time. Tera is knowledgeable, responsive, thoughtful and kind. My brother and I, who both live out of state, needed to find immediate assisted living for our father after a hospital stay. Tera answered my call (on a Sunday no less) listened to our goals, budget and desired area. She even met us at the hospital to assess the situation herself before making recommendations. We were touring places the next day.  All were great options and Tera helped us weigh pros and cons of each and pick the best spot for our father. Since placement, Tera has checked in on our father, communicated with staff/caregivers and has been in regular communication with us over a month after placement. Tera was amazing! We had a very restricting set of criteria and a very small amount time to find a new home for our mother. Tera was recommended by some friends and I am so glad we called her. She was able to quickly guide us to a few properties that met our requirements. She coordinated the meetings and joined us for the tours. She knew what questions to ask and had valuable feedback. She even met us at the hospital to assist us with paperwork with our mother. We moved mom into her new home and she loves it! I absolutely recommend contacting Tera. I was looking for in home care for my dad who had some difficult challenges to work with. I had to call caregivers, transportation companies, physical therapy, medical equipment, insurance companies, lawyers and so on.. it was confusing and frustrating and very emotional on top of it. When i stumbled onto Teri Johnsons number, it was like i was given the golden ticket! She had an answer for every question i had,  she was fast in her redponses and it was obvious she has personal and professional experience navigating elder care. And she makes the tangled web of services easy to conquer. I got my dad the services he needed within a couple days and was able to get him out of a nursing home and bring him home to us where he can be cared for where he is most comfortable. Tera went far above our expectations!  We had moved our mother from an assisted living to memory care on the same property.  BIG mistake!  We contacted Tera to help us find a new home with better care.  On Thanksgiving day we received a call from our mom's memory care, telling us that we had to come pick her up because she kept trying to escape and they couldn't handle her.  We asked Tera for assistance finding a reputable memory care and by Friday morning (the day after Thanksgiving) she had several places lined up for us to tour.  With Tera's help, we were able to find a wonderful new memory care for our mother and she was able to move in that Sunday. My mom fell in early August.  I got connected with Tera through an out of town friend.  At first, I didn’t think I’d need support - broken hip, some time to get back up, etc..  but mom started a decline.

Tera was a frequent caller and visitor, even helping me with guidance on dealing through the hospital patterns. We started with group homes then progressed to memory care and finally hospice.  She bobbed and weaved with me as the unanticipated decline.

My mom passed and I didn’t need a placement - but Tera was there for 56 days helping me.  Time is precious and she wouldn’t take a dime from me despite my pestering.  True care about the person and family.  Rare these days.
